An artisan soap lasts one to two months. That is a long time when you are unsure of your choice, and bulky when you leave for three days. These three formats exist for that: less matter, less commitment, the same soap.

Why the imperfects exist

A chipped corner changes nothing about the soap

I pour my soaps by hand, then cut them and leave them to cure for four weeks. At cutting, there are always bars with a crumbling corner, a colour that turned lighter on one side, or an edge that is not straight.

The recipe is the same, the lifespan is the same, the scent is the same. Only the look changes. Selling them for less is more honest than throwing them away, and it is also a chance to try a whole range without paying full price.

What is a pebble soap?
It is the same paste as our cold-process soaps, poured into a rounded 90 g mould. No edges, no corners: it sits in the hand and dries fast, which makes it a good travel format.
How long does a pebble soap last?
Three to four weeks in daily body use, longer if it only serves for the face or hands. Like any solid bar, it lasts longer if it dries between showers.
Is the pebble recipe the same as the full-size soap?
Yes, exactly the same. Only the mould and the weight change. It is not a lightened sample formula.
What is imperfect about "the imperfects"?
Appearance only: a corner chipped at cutting, an uneven colour, an edge that is not straight. Recipe, weight, scent and lifespan are identical to the standard format.
Do the imperfects have a shorter shelf life?
No. They are not end-of-line stock or products near expiry: they are bars from the same batch, set aside at cutting for a visual flaw.
Why are some imperfects unavailable?
Because they depend on that week's cutting. There is no dedicated production: when a batch comes out flawless, there are no imperfects in that scent.
Does the pebble pass as cabin baggage?
Yes. A soap is not a liquid, so it does not count towards the 100 ml limit. Slip it into a box that breathes so it keeps drying.
Which small format works as a gift under ten euros?
A pebble soap at €8.50, plus the €2.50 gift box if you want it presented. Clair de Lune, fragrance-free, is the one that suits everyone.
Does the gift box include a product?
No, it is the empty box, at €2.50. You add the products of your choice to the order, and I arrange them inside before shipping.
Is there a format for hotels and guesthouses?
Yes, a 20 g guest soap in an individual paper sachet, using the fragrance-free Clair de Lune formula, sold in packs of 50 or 100. It is designed for a one to three night stay.
Can you build a set from several pebbles?
Yes, by adding the pebbles of your choice and a gift box to the order. It is the most requested gift for discovering several scents at once.
Is shipping free on a small format?
From €40 within the European Union. Below that, costs are calculated by weight, and a single pebble goes as a tracked letter.
