We are here to answer your questions
What’s the difference between the double wooden comb and the wide-tooth comb?
The double beech wood comb features two rows of teeth: fine teeth on one side for precise detangling, and wider teeth on the other for styling without stressing the hair fiber.
The wide-tooth comb, on the other hand, is ideal for curly, thick, or coily hair. It helps define curls without disrupting their shape and reduces frizz.
Both are made from natural beech wood, with no varnish or plastic.
Why choose a wooden comb over a plastic one?
Wooden combs are naturally anti-static, helping to reduce frizz and make styling smoother. Unlike plastic, wood is gentler on the hair and helps distribute natural oils evenly from root to tip, leaving hair shinier and more balanced.
They are also eco-friendly, durable, and biodegradable.
Are wooden combs suitable for all hair types?
Yes! Sternartica wooden combs are suitable for all hair types:
- Fine or straight hair: choose the double comb for more precise detangling
- Curly, wavy, or coily hair: opt for the wide-tooth comb to separate curls without breakage
- Dry or fragile hair: beech wood helps reduce friction and protect the hair fiber
How do I care for my wooden comb?
Clean it once or twice a month with lukewarm water and a mild soap. Dry it thoroughly with a clean cloth (do not soak it).
From time to time, you can nourish the wood with a drop of plant oil (jojoba, sweet almond, etc.) to maintain its softness and shine.
Where are Sternartica combs made?
They are made in Italy, in a small artisanal workshop. Like all our accessories, they are selected for their quality, durability, and ethical values.
