Natural cork oak
Every nine years during the summer months, the bark of the cork oak tree can be harvested again without harming the tree. It is carefully collected by hand by local communities in Spain and Portugal. The bark is then ground into granules of varying sizes. When heated, these granules can be formed into sheets, from which we cut the shape of our case.

Can I place a damp product inside?
Yes, you can place your Sternartica product inside even while still damp. Cork is naturally water-resistant and will absorb excess moisture without being damaged.
Can I use the case as a soap holder?
Yes, our cork case can also be used as a soap holder. The lower part acts as a drainage base, allowing the soap to dry quickly and easily.
Product care
Cork is highly resistant to moisture and can be rinsed with water without any issue. That said, as with any material, it’s best to avoid leaving water sitting inside the case.
To keep your cork product in the best condition, allow it to dry between uses: leave the box open and ventilated for a few minutes before storing your Sternartica product. Store in a dry place.
Durability
The cork soap box is very easy to clean with water. Suberin, a naturally occurring waxy substance in cork, provides effective protection when exposed to moisture, contributing to its durability over time.
Above all, cork is a 100% natural, recyclable, and renewable material.
